What do I do now?

Just like Sears, Zellers, Radio Shack, Toys “R” Us, and Woolworth, sometimes assessment producs also ‘go out of business’ and are no longer available.

When this happens in the testing industry products often just ‘disappear’ without much or any warning, and often the websites that used to offer them simply take down the relevant pages, leaving customers with no clue as to what happened or where these products went.  It’s upsetting to customers who had hitched their wagon to a particular test and had incorporated it into their applicant vetting processes.  They’re suddenly left holding the bag and forced to reinvent the wheel by finding an alternative, often without adequate time to make an informed decision because they have candidates waiting in the wings that they have to make decisions about.  It’s frustrating, costs people time and money, and much of the time there’s no direct replacement available that will do what the previous test did or in the way that it did it.  That becomes a real headache for employers who had been relying upon a product that’s suddenly no longer available to them.
