Purpose

The Business Development Professional Test identifies candidates who are bright, capable of learning and dealing with abstract concepts, competitive, hard-driving, goal-oriented, and interested in creating large scale or long term projects that generate a good income. It also helps evaluate whether candidates are stable team players, and if they have innate leadership capacity.

What It’s Best Used For

This test is best used during the early pre-employment phase to verify broad financial, operational, and legal literacy across roles in human resources, marketing, general business, and financial planning.

• Broad Topic Evaluation: It scores candidates across 8 essential business pillars, including Business Law, Financial Management, General Business, Human Resources, and Marketing.
• Testing Legal & Compliance Awareness: The test gauges a candidate’s baseline familiarity with critical legal themes such as bankruptcy, contracts, liability insurance, tax laws, torts, and labor laws.
• Verifying Financial Literacy: It measures whether an applicant understands foundational accounting structures, the budgeting process, financial statements, and ratio analysis.
• Assessing Operations & Social Ethics: It evaluates a potential hire’s grasp of production control, resource allocation, e-commerce, and corporate social responsibility or ethics.

The unproctored platform generates an immediate online score report to help hiring managers make data-driven selection decisions, and it is fully legal for use in Canada.

About the Test

This test is untimed but should take about two hours to complete. It consists of three parts:

• 144-question personality inventory
• 44-item test of general cognitive aptitude with about equal number questions for verbal reasoning, numerical reasoning, and abstract reasoning
• 46 open-ended questions that require the candidate to type in their own short answer.

What the Report Gives You

Graphical display of scores, explanation of aptitude results, list of strengths and developmental concerns, display of the narrative comments given to the open-ended statements, and suggested interview questions.

Testing Process

Online personality testing provides immediate reporting. Proctoring is desirable but not required.
