The Support Service Career Battery (SSCB) helps accelerate and improve hiring by quickly identifying individuals who possess the profile critical to success in today’s fast moving and changing health care environment. The SSCB can be used as part of a process for hiring new employees in maintenance, facilities, and support positions in health care organizations or as a way to place current employees into new or existing roles.
The SSCB is a multi-format inventory designed for use in selecting employees for maintenance, facilities, and support positions – roles for which the SSCB has been successfully validated and deployed include (but are not limited to) Food and Dietary Services, Environmental and Custodial Services, Security, and Patient Transport. The SSCB incorporates three measurement categories:
- Making Effective Judgments and Decisions,
- Managing Self and Getting Along with Others, and
- Demonstrating Personal Competence.
The assessment has a maximum time limit of 60 minutes but typically takes 35 – 40 minutes.
