Purpose: The Excel Proficiency Test evaluates a candidate’s knowledge of Microsoft Excel 2010 and is useful when candidates have limited credentials in this software beyond job experience. When there is no history on the resume of certifications, achievements, or continuing education in Microsoft Excel of any kind, this test will give an honest interpretation of their level of ability. A true Excel master may have been working with the software in depth over the past 10 years in a previous role but may have no credentials to go with it – don’t miss a great hire based on what is (or isn’t) on a resume!

About the Test: This 20-question test has several sections, each of which contains an Excel spreadsheet and related multiple choice questions. The candidate must choose the strategy most likely to achieve the desired outcome.

What the Report Gives You: A graphical display of scores of areas covered (see chart), explanation of aptitude results, list of strengths and developmental concerns, and suggested interview questions.

Testing Process: Online personality testing provides immediate reporting. Proctoring is desirable but not required.

Options: Contact us to learn how we can customize the test content for your hiring process or the way information is presented in the report to meet your specifications. We can also help you validate an assessment for your workforce or establish company-specific scoring.
