Use the New WIAT®–II— Abbreviated (WIAT–II—A) to Efficiently Identify and Track Basic Academic Skills and Intervention Needs in Children and Adults

The WIAT–II—A includes three subtests (Spelling, Word Reading, and Numerical Operations) from the complete Wechsler Individual Achievement Test®—Second Edition (WIAT®–II) battery and is ideal for a wide range of classroom and clinical settings.

Quick, Easy, Reliable

The WIAT–II—A can be administered in 10 to 20 minutes. A convenient combined Record Form/Response Booklet, including all stimulus material, is used for all three subtests. In keeping with the Wechsler® tradition, WIAT–II—A was standardized on a large representative sample, with extensive reliability/validity studies and normative data provided in the manual.

Multiple Uses

You can use the WIAT–II—A with kindergarten children through adults to quickly identify skill deficits in spelling, reading and math. Predictive of the full WIAT–II score, WIAT–II—A is also useful for screening, re-evaluation, and as a second measure to help in determining the need for and effectiveness of intervention. An ideal companion to any Wechsler scale, WIAT–II—A can be used with the Wechsler Abbreviated Scale of Intelligence™ (WASI™) for a brief, reliable cognitive and achievement battery.

Adult Rehabilitation and Intervention

An excellent choice for working with adult populations, WIAT–II—A can be used to screen adults for possible learning disabilities or identify deficits and track treatment progress in adults who have suffered an injury or developed an impairment in cognitive abilities.
